After a few months in Production on AWS we negotiated a second, modernisation, phase of work which was focused on improving maintainability as well as the total cost of ownership ( TCO ).
As previous project was fully focused on speedy migration to satisfy clients business goals, this phase was addressing all the backlog entries and un-effective solutions put in place which could not be addressed at the time of migration.
Our approach was to treat it as another this time AWS internal migration. In essence we’ve created a new set of resources and clusters to replace existing solutions and migrated the workload.

Second phase of work on this project, or could you call it a second project, was necessary to reap all benefits of a cloud-native approach on AWS. Both client and their development team was happy with the quality of life improvements and both business and technical results. At the end of this phase we've officially started another, production maintenance, phase of work.
